THE LABYRINTH OF SOUTH SUDAN

The youngest country in the world is suffering a terrible humanitarian crisis which has been largely ignored by the international community. The civil war in South Sudan has displaced more than 2.3 million people who are now plagued by violence, disease and hunger. Few have the means to leave the country, and so for many the only option is to seek protection in United Nations compounds, hide in the swamplands of the Nile, or wander from village to village in a desperate search for sanctuary.
